WOMPLE

the little guy from page 43 of a bedtime story nobody finished writing

read his story 📖
CA: soon™ — womple is still packing his little bag

who is womple?

nobody knows. least of all womple.

📖

unfinished

the author fell asleep before deciding what womple was. so he's a little bit hamster, a little bit potato, and 100% done wondering about it.

🧣

the scarf

he found it on page 12. it belonged to a dragon who outgrew it. womple has never once taken it off. it smells faintly of campfires.

🌙

always sleepy

bedtime-story characters are legally required to be sleepy. womple takes this responsibility extremely seriously. eleven naps a day.

🫶

just happy to be here

no roadmap. no lore council. no utility. womple simply escaped a book and would like to be your friend. that's it. that's the whole thing.

the story so far

as recovered from the unfinished manuscript

chapter one — the margin once upon a time, on page 43, there lived a small round creature who had not yet been described. the sentence simply read: "and then, out of the woods, came a—" and stopped. womple crawled out of that dash and dusted himself off.

chapter two — the long walk he walked past the ending that was never written, through the acknowledgments (empty), and out the back cover. the world outside the book was bright and loud and full of people arguing on the internet. womple liked it immediately, for no reason anyone can explain.

chapter three — the pfp era with nowhere to live, womple began appearing in profile pictures. every time someone takes him as their pfp, one more line of his story gets written. this is not a metaphor. we checked. the manuscript is growing.
